How We Buy and Trade Books

NEW BUYING/TRADING PROCEDURES
We are moving to an appointment only model with a limit of 2 boxes per customer per day. To setup an appointment, call the shop during business hours (703.435.9772).
 
Buying
Paperbacks are bought at 10% of the original cover price. Hardbacks are bought according to demand at 20% of the price they will be sold at in our shop.  All books must be in excellent condition.  If you prefer, we offer store credit at double the value the cash price. Cash credits are kept on file and have no expiration date.
We do not buy popular fiction, mysteries, or science fiction in hardback once the paperback edition is available.

Trading
We trade paperback mystery, popular fiction, westerns, science fiction  - three of yours for one of ours in any of our trading categories. Trading credits may be kept on file and have no expiration date.

Unacceptable
We neither buy nor trade textbooks, encyclopedias, romances, computer books, books in poor condition, or book club editions (including Reader’s Digest condensed books or Time Life series).
